Cranky Pants, Kitchen Disasters, BonJovi, Ducks

I know I'm not always the most coherent blogger in the blogosphere and that titles certainly proves it but it does kinda sum up the crazy I'm going to ramble about.

I know I have be pretty absent the last month. "Real" life caught up with me and I just haven't had the time for my blog life. Hoping that will change after this week because I miss my blog peeps! The following is a random accounting of my crazy for the last couple weeks:

Damaged Discs. Some long time readers may remember about a year and half ago I was dealing with horrid back/ neck pain. I finally was diagnosed as having 3 damaged discs in the cervical area. Eventually I will have to have surgery (do NOT want it, my father had it and it is awful). I had a series of epidurals and was pretty good until around December 2012. The pain started returning and not just at night. I know I need another round of epidurals but had been putting it off because my insurance stinks and it costs me around $1000. I am at the point where just sitting at my computer at work causes excruciating pain so I finally made the Doctors consult for next Monday. (turns out one can NOT live on Vicodin alone. Who Knew?

Hubs has been having lower back pain and turns out he has ONE bad disc in his back and is scheduled for an MRI. You would think he was dying. Men.

Hubs also chefs/cooks/whatever you want to call it for a country club. This is the slow time of year and they only open 3 days a week. So he is constantly underfoot driving me nuts. As of Sunday he has eleven freaking days in a row off. Pray for his continued well being and that I don't end up in jail.

Somehow he also manages to be super duper cranky. WTF? Life's rough with all those days off, Mr. Cranky Pants.

He did finally re caulk my bathtub today. I found most of the old caulk on the bathroom floor.

I also have desperately been wanting to do something with the kitchen. It is small and has had the same dark paneling since my grandparents put it up circa 1969. So I came home from work today and saw this:

Which would be great, IF I had a plan or something to replace it. *sigh*

Any suggestions? Affordable suggestions?
Mom was sick again and yet another ambulance ride. Staph infection this time and probably a lupus flair.

Chester (the dog) was doing well on his meds but suddenly is have frequent seizures again. Hello Mrs. Vet, do you have any other children that I could put through college?

I really, really want to go to my BFF Duckys' wedding in March but apparently flights from here to Branson are in the $500 to $700 range. Say what? I'm not trying to fly to China, just Ohio to Missouri!

Fun Tidbit: I've been a Bon Jovi fan for as long as I can remember. My highschool BFF and I have only missed one tour since we were 15 (um, I'm 37 now and probably too old to be a groupie) but we bought tickets  a couple months back and have a VIP girls night at the Pittsburgh show on 2/21. Expect pictures and tweets. Pssst: Jon, Richie, David, Tico: if you are reading this it'd be my dream come true to meet ya'll.Or I dunno, see backstage. I'll be the short blond in row A. Just sayin

Reviews and/or giveaways coming up for NICOmate, Pawstick, Dr. Mercola, PlayfulThreads and a couple others. Hang in there.

PS
If I hear that FISHEY FISHEEEY song from the McDonalds commercial  one. more. time. I will not be held responsible for my actions.

You are never too old to be a junkie. Also? I'm putting a deposit on the backhoe. My prayers haven't been so reliable lately seeing as how that meteor hit on the wrong side of the ocean.

God be with you

Even though I was aware of most of this, I'm glad to catch up! What about driving? I know it would take awhile but gas might be cheaper?

I'm jealous of the Bon Jovi tickets for sure. I wanted to get tickets for when they come to Boston, but I can't fricken afford them. Sigh.
