Want To Look Great By Summer?

Hey everyone! You may or may not have heard of the It Works products at this point, but I am going to go ahead and give you some information. If you would like more, please don't hesitate to email carriemb01@gmail.com or twitter me @yorkiemomma.

A week ago I received my very first Ultimate Body Applicator  wrap from Daffy at BatCrapCrazy. She had tried the product and decided to be a distributor. I said, what the heck, I'll buy two from you and see how it goes. I did my first one on Saturday ) and by Monday had decided that I wanted to be a distributor, I loved it that much.

What do you do?
Easy, it is a natural based wrap that comes single packaged. Before wrapping, measure your self in 3 places. About 2 inches above belly button, at belly button and about 2 inches below (make sure to mark it so you get the exact same spot later) Next, you simply take it out, smooth it on-- I choose to do my stomach area but just about any body part can be wrapped. After you have it where you want it and most of the bubbles worked out, wrap saran wrap around the area to keep the wrap from moving. I took it a step further and wore my Squeem Shapewear over top for extra security.

You can then go about life while it is on--no working out or sweating as this will keep the product from absorbing. I watched TV and played on the computer. Many people nap! It is recommended that you drink plenty of water to help flush toxins from your system. The minimum time to leave it on is 45 minutes but you can wear it over night. I wore mine for about an hour and a half. It is a cool tingling feeling while it's on. After removing make sure to rub in any extra product and then measure yourself.

I personally had a 1.5 inch and a .5 inch difference immediately afterwards. However the product continues to work for 72 hours and many people continue to loose inches over that period.

I could go on and on, but instead I'm going to show you some pictures from REAL people, people like you and me that have used these and tried their results. I'll even post my pictures after I do another wrap.
After ONE wrap!

After 6 wraps (plus fat fighters)
4 wraps over a 1 month period

2 wraps, down almost 10 inches

1 wrap, legs looking good for summer!
Want someone you can go ahead and ask? Here is Boobies after 48 hours of doing her first wrap. (she lost a total of 3 inches after 72 hours)
Since I know this is a ton of info all on one page, I will leave you with a basic chart that breaks down how it works in the simplest terms:
If you have any questions PLEASE ask! Carriemb01@gmail.com
If you are interested in purchasing, a single wrap can be purchased only through emailing me personally. On my website they can be purchased in packs of 4 for  $99 OR you can get 4 for $59 as a loyal customer. There are a ton more great It Works products, but this page is long enough! Ask if you have questions and if I don't know the answer, I will find out for you!

New Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review & Giveaway

I have lived in several different states over the last decade and they all had different recycling rules. I hated CT because we had to haul all the glass, plastic and cans to the supermarket and put them in the smelly sticky machines. My favorite was when I lived in New Jersey and they provided us with three different cans, of course we lived in a huge farm house and had tons of room to store things.

Now that I am back in Ohio, the are I live in doesn't even provide a trash bin, let alone recycling bins AND my kitchen is tiny (how my Grandmother managed is beyond me!). Still I would like to do my part and recycle, but where do I put the stuff? The two feet of counter space is out, because if it is covered with empty recyclables where do I prepare food? Floor space is also at a minimum so I really can't see how I would fit 2 trash bins and heaven knows I am not schlepping outside to the detached garage every time I empty a can and since my husband still can't change a toilet paper roll.....well he obviously isn't going to either.

I was thrilled when Rubbermaid Contacted me and offered to let me review the brand spanking new Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler. Here are some of the attributes of the new Hidden Recycler:
  • easy attachment to a cabinet door with the hooks provided (or with screws
  • a convenient handle allows the bag to be easily transported to where ever your recycling is stored for pickup or transport
  • a five gallon bag that holds up to 36 12oz cans and can fit a gallon milk jug
  • the bag has a leak proof liner that is machine washable, making it easy to clean after unexpected spills
  • the bag is soft sided, allowing for flexibility inside the cabinet
  • the bag, all packaging is made from recyclable material and the product itself is recyclable
 My thoughts:
I was very excited to try this out and tore into the package. It does not come assembled, but only took me 5 minutes (and I don't read instructions ha!). It fits perfectly inside my cabinet and because it's flexible I don't have to worry about it pushing something else--my cleaning supplies-- out of the way. Since it has over the door hooks, you don't have to screw into your cabinets, unless you choose too, which is a definite plus for me. I find that it is the perfect size for us and we can empty into the outside can every other day. I haven't had to throw it into the washing machine yet, but I usually give it a quick wipe so that it doesn't get stinky or sticky.

I truthfully love this product and would like to get another one to store plastic reusable bags in! Right now you can purchase a Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler online at Rubbermaid.com or in store at Meijer. Suggested retail price is $15.99

Klout Perk, Dial For Men Review

As a member of Klout, I am sometimes eligible for free samples or "perks" if it is a subject I am influential in. Recently Dial said I was eligible to participate in the Dial for Men perk and sent me a free full size container of their brand new Speed Foam Body Wash for Men.

The Dial Speed Foam Body Wash is the first ever body wash to use the gel-to-foam technology (reminds me of some shaving gels that I have used). In a body wash form it means that men can work up an awesome lather without the use of loofahs or "poofs" (my word) by just using their bare hands.

I don't know about you, but my husband is totally against anything that involves a poof, scrubby, loofah or whatnot, so basically any body wash out there that I suggested, he has looked at me like I asked him to carry a purse.

I received the Dial For Men and waited for him to come home from work. I may or may not have given him a drink or two before I explained that I wanted him to try a body wash. (don't judge me!) I convinced him and sent him offer to the shower, muttering under his breath the whole way about girly this and that and having sensitive skin and that it would give him a rash (ugh). Amazingly he came out singing a whole different tune. He loved that he just needed to squirt a tiny bit into his hand and could lather up like a champ! I enjoyed the very subtly scent (and the fact that I was right!). Plus his sensitive skin has had no reaction to the product.

I think we have a winner! I'm off to look for a coupon, stock us up and toss one to my Dad to try!

Lady Soma Antioxidant Berry Masque Review

Are you like me? Love facials and feeling refreshed and pretty but really can't afford to pop on in at the spa whenever the whim strikes you? Lady Soma send me a package of products to try and I was very excited about it.

The Antioxidant Berry Masque is loaded with antioxidant berries and Vitamins A, C, and E. Using the mask as part of your regular beauty regime gives you a detox facial treatment b harnessing the antioxidant power of blueberries and cranberries. This enhances cellular renewal and collagen production, while the glycolic and alpha lipoic acids create a microdermabrasion-like effect to eliminate dead skin cells to reveal a fresh new layer.

I've been using the Lady Soma Antioxidant Berry Masque for about two weeks now (approx. every 3rd day). I simply wash my face and apply it with my finger tips, it has a very light whipped feel to it, but also a little bit of grit. It's recommended to leave it on for 8 minutes, I may be applying it a bit to thickly because I find it takes about 12 minutes before it dries. It's a very relaxing 12 minute apart from trying to keep the dog from licking it off my face, that's how awesome the blueberry smell is!

Then I just use a soft cloth and some warm water to easily wash it off my face. It leaves my skin looking flushed (in a healthy way) and I literally feel as if it is tighter! It is recommended that you follow up with the renewal serum (which I was given a sample of even though it was not required for me to review it!) It is an opaque, very lightly scented serum that is non greasy and glides on. I really feel that the serum helps firm/tighten my skin when applying after the mask.

I was also sent a Lady Mint Tingle lipbalm which is also antioxidant rich, moisturizing and chemical free. It goes on so smooth and makes my lips tingle!

I am truly, extremely happy with my Lady Soma products. The make me feel good and look good and I cannot wait to order some different products to try out.

Shielo Antioxidant Leave in Treatment Review

This Shielo Antioxidant Leave in Treatment is great for heat styling & frizz control. It is designed to fortify every strand of hair, creating texture as well as protecting color-treated hair from the elements. Created with a unique protective complex containing pro-vitamins, proteins and amino acids to infuse your hair with vitamins and provide UV protection. Good for deeper colored natural hair and for color treated hair.

Key Ingredients:
  • UV Protectants and natural antioxidants from White Tea enhance color protection.
  • Shea Butter adds a protective moisture barrier to seal the hair shaft
  • Wheat Crosspolymer creates an invisible safety net around each hair to shield color, increase flexibility and reduce breakage
Since apparently we skipped spring and headed right into summer--in NE Ohio--in March! I am extremely happy to be testing this product. My hair is highlighted and naturally curly so prone t frizzing in the ridiculous humidity. Summer is brutal for me unless I choose to rock the, I stuck a fork in a light socket look (which I don't).

This treatment is so super easy to use, simply towel dry hair and mist on. You get better protection if you comb through out your hair. Then simply style as usual. I love that it doesn't weigh my hair down, make it greasy or make it "crunchy". So far it seems to be doing a fantastic job at keeping my frizz under control. As long as it keeps up the good work, it will be a summer time staple for my hair!

Influenster, Love My Love VoxBox!

I am a member of Influenster, an organization that sends you products that you qualify for to test them out. Then you report back on the website what you thought of them. Easy Peasy. I'm actually not under any obligation to write a post on this blog, but I recently received my very first VoxBox, the Love Voxbox and I am so excited that I wanted to share with you!

There was so much stuff in that little box!

Gillette Venus & Olay Razor ($8.99-$10.99 RV)
I have a razor brand that I am pretty attached to so I really didn't think I was going to be too impressed with this one, but the combo of Olay and Gillette is definitely a winner. The Olay Moisture bars lock-in moisture which is great for someone with dry skin. The 5 blades give you a super close shave. Honestly, my legs are super smooth and silky since I have been using this, they feel so moisturized and I ran out of shaving gel and have been using soap, which usually leaves me dry and itchy!

Kiss Nail Dress-- Fashion That Sticks ($6.99 RV)
No secret around here that I have a nail polishing fetish. I love doing new things, water marbling, nail strips, polish-- all of it. I've used the competitions nail strips quite a bit because it is a brand I knew and trusted and loved the effect and compliments. Kiss is not a brand I was familiar with so I had never purchased. After trying them out, I am a new customer! They stuck like super glue, I had zero problems getting them on and they looked fantastic. Even better, they are about $3 cheaper than the "other" brand I was using!

Stash Tea Herbal Tea
Sampler ($3.50 RV)
Usually I only drink tea when I am not feeling well. I'm not big on the taste of plain tea and have to doctor it up with lemon and honey. This was one of my hesitant "tests", but once I opened the box and smelled them, I was all about trying them out. This 18 Tea Bag sampler comes with Acai Berry, Blueberry Superfruit, Chamomile, Cinnamon Apple Chamomile, Lemon Ginger, Licorice Spice, Mango Passionfruit, Peppermint and Wild Berry Hibiscus. I have tried every single one yet but the ones I have tried are delicious. The Blueberry is sooooo yummy and the Chamomile ones are great for relaxing before sleep, since they are all caffeine free. I can't wait to try the rest of the flavors.

Truvia Natural Sweetener
($3.99 RV)
Made from the Stevia plant, Truvia is an all natural sweetener that has no calories. I have NEVER been a fan of "fake" sweeteners, but I will say that Truvia is miles ahead of all the others I have tried over the years and I can definitely see incorporating it into my regular diet.

Saving the best for last!
Ghiradelli Gourmet Milk Creamy Devotion Bar ($2.99 RV)
32% cacao milk chocolate in this bar. It is pure heaven. I swear I don't know the last time something tasted so. darn. good. Honestly amazing. It melted on my tongue and the orgasmic taste spread through my taste buds. I kept the bar in my desk and forced myself to eat only one square at a time. I've eaten more expensive chocolate that tasted no where NEAR this treat! I'm going on a hunt for these and stocking up.

Thank you Influenster and all the sponsors. I ADORE my Love VoxBox!

Tide Pods Review

Have you heard about or maybe even tried the new Tide Pods yet? I have and they are truly an innovative product! Growing up my family did not have much money, when we were young it was hard for my parents to make ends meet sometimes, but one product my mom never skimped on buying was Tide and it is still the only brand she will use to this day.

More than 30 years ago, Tide revolutionized the way people did laundry by introducing us to liquid Tide (instead of just the powdered). Now they are doing it again with their new Tide Pods. You may think that these are just like any other detergent that has come out with a toss in little packet but they are definitely more! They are actually chambered product that has a brightener, stain fighter and a detergent in each separate chamber. They also feature a "best-in-class" film that dissolves quickly and completely in any water temperature. Simply turn on your water and toss a pod in before adding clothes. Done!

My husband and I used the samples we received and are very pleased with the results. Him, because he doesn't need to pre-treat his chef clothing for it to come out stain free. Plus his coats look great without bleaching and Tide doesn't irritate his sensitive skin.

I like them because they are pre measured. Which means Hubs is using the correct amount of detergent instead of his usual theory of more is better (seriously, I water down bottled detergent when he isn't looking because I fear one day the basement will fill with suds). Plus there is zero spillage, no mess, no stickiness and only one convenient tub on the shelf instead of 3 different types of products for just one load.

Plus, Tide is what I grew up with and it just feels good to me to use it and the smell brings back my chidhood memories. Also, I'm pretty sure my mothers laundry normally looked better than my usual!

TTUT: Why I Shouldn't Text. Ever

Linking up with IA and Seriously Shawn for their awesome Talk To Us Tuesdays. I've been a bad blogger lately, but it happens. Seems like every couple of months I go through the phase where I slack for a bit, then right back at it.

I had a post listing reasons why I am pretty sure I have Reverse Seasonal Affective Disorder all worked out but then my idiotness took over and I figured I had to share that with you.

This morning I was texting with my gal Daffy from BatCrapCrazy (I think she may be rubbing off on me). Just yesterday I had mentioned to her that the salaried peeps around here show up after me and leave before me, so when my boss texted me to say he was on his way (naturally way past what time he is supposed to show up) I jumped up, took some pics and sent Daffy a snarky text:

Except point 2 seconds after hitting send my stomach dropped out of my butt because I realized I had sent it to my BOSS. SHIT! My brain went into overdrive and I quickly fired off another couple of texts to cover:

Luckily I am frequently a smart aleck (shocking I know) at work so I think he's buying this.

Not learning my lesson I continued to text people.
Anyone remember my assistant from last summer? The not so smart 21 year old? Well I call her in now and then to do things like stuff envelopes, file stuff wrong and annoy the crap out of me.

I thought she would realize I was just tossing out.any random coffee type word I could come up with and laugh......

Instead she walked into Dunkin Donuts and read my text off to the lady behind the counter. The lady informed her that you can't apparently get a whatever the heck I typed. (duh) Assistant told her that's what I wanted, so the lady said "okay dear".
I have no idea what she brought me but I AM SO WIRED RIGHT NOW, that it might actually have had cocaine in it.

Someone please come and confiscate my phone.

Woolite Complete Review

I've tried probably a zillion (okay, I'm exaggerating a wee bit) laundry detergents since I moved out on my own  more than 16 years ago. Sad to say Woolite was never one of them. I'm honestly not sure why, I just never bought it.

I'm sure that any of you reading this have done your own laundry more than once and have all experienced the common problems of stretching, shrinking and fading. Am I right? I certainly have!

Recently I had the opportunity as a Smile.ly member to try the new Woolite Complete. Woolite Complete doe not contain any harsh ingredients so it won't cause any of the annoying shrinking, stretching or fading. It has a delicate balance of cleaning and caring.

I've been using the bottle of Woolite I was sent for several weeks now. I just bought a bunch of new Tshirts and capris to wear to work this summer. Since we are having freak weather in NE Ohio and it's 75 degrees here I have been wearing them now. Woolite Complete has taken great care of my clothing. My jeans didn't shrink to muffin top inducing sizes and my shirts are actually the same shade they were when I purchased them. That's a win win in my book!

Head on over to Woolite on Facebook and "like" them to download a $2 off coupon and try it for yourself.

Ladies, You NEED a Jopen!

Sex toys - EdenFantasys adult toys store

It's been a little bit since I reminded you folks about EdenFantasys. Crazy, I know!! what if someone out there hasn't *gasp* heard of them yet?!

Well about a month or so ago I made a purchase from them for an item I have been lusting (ha!) over ever since I heard about it when it came out! That's right, I paid for it, this is not a freebie I'm writing about. You are probably dying to know what it is, right? Well, it's the queen bee of all sex toys. I held my breathe and clicked purchase for a Jopen Intensity.

Now I can just hear you asking what the heck is a Jopen Intensity and why on earth would you plunk down $249.99 for one. Don't get me wrong, I certainly like to shop and spend money but I definitely had never purchased a sex toy that expensive before. I couldn't help myself though. I kept reading reviews and hearing crazy stuff like it lets you control your orgasms and make them last as long as you want. Also, it's pink.

Beyond being a toy and pink, it is also a vaginal exerciser. Whaaaa? Lemme just say that's the first exercise program I am NOT groaning about (okay, there is groaning but not the bad kind). Instead of doing Kegels all day and worrying about loosing your balls (ha! I'm full of them today), you can get a sweet workout in AND and orgasm all at once.

Here are some technical details. It is a g-spot and clitoral vibe that produces electrostimulation. It comes with a special gel that you put on the two metal plates, you control the level of electrostimulation on the handle. This makes your muscles contract (the same ones that an orgasm does). You also control the level of vibrations with a set of buttons on the handle. If that isn't enough, you can also pump up the 'shaft' after inserting, to a thickness that makes you happy by simply pumping the handle. Push the release button and it deflates.

Let's just say, Jopen is my new favorite toy. We are extremely friendly and the hubby benefits because, well you know, tighter down there muscles! So check her out and remember that you can order from EdenFantasys without worrying that the mailman, nosy old lady next door or your babysitter will know what's in the box, they are super discreet and the fastest shipping I've come across!

That Kind of Day. Again.

I can just hear some of you now, thinking "why don't you ever write about awesome days and happy stuff? Are you that miserable?".  No, No I am not that miserable, I do have happy, wonderful, amazing days and things that happy to me, but when they do I am too busy rolling around in sparkling fairy dust and petting the unicorns that show up to write about it.

Plus, it's much more therapeutic (for me anyways) to whine and moan online and then bask in your sympathy.

So anywhine, here we go.

I spent 20 minutes looking for my car keys before work ( I always leave them in the same spot) only to finally find them in the basement stairwell. WTF?

Halfway to work I realize I set my breakfast down in the hunt for said car keys and never picked it back up. Since my stomach is literally growling, I opt for the Burger King drive thru (what the hell, I'm already late at this point).  Get to work with my goodies and can't find my time card. Arggh.

Start to gobble down my Bacon Egg & Cheese Croissant and notice a funny smell. What. The. Hell? Are these eggs GREEN? Fine. I think there are some stale pretzels in my desk.

Lunch time. Head to office fridge (that 5 of us share--there is a separate one downstairs for the warehouse degenerates). Grab my turkey burger and low fat cheese. Wait. Where is the cheese I had in the same bag as the burger? Oh, my freaking millionaire boss stole it. AGAIN. Took it out of my sandwich baggie and ate it. WTF?  Tromp into his office and shriek, stop stealing my cheese dammit! If you want some I will get you some!
He's all, it's just cheese and laughy jokey about it, for the rest of the afternoon.

I KNOW it's just cheese. The point is YOU didn't bring it. It was obviously someones damn lunch, since it was in a sandwich baggie with a damn turkey burger. It is also not the first freaking time. Plus there is an entire fridge downstairs with bulk Sam's club food. I will be happy to go get you some if you are that hungry. Who does shit like that?

I could keep rambling about how I had to root through the nasty ass outside garbage can at home and various other things, but I figure I've bored you enough.

TTUT All About Me

Hooking up with IA and Seriously Shawn for their Talk To Us Tuesdays, which I adore because, well, no rules, no specific topic. Plus it's a kick butt group of gals that hook up and I love reading all their posts!

So I was at work today, composing a great post in my head while I actually did my job. I thought no-way I need to write down a note because I will totally remember this! Obviously, I am a moron because no matter how hard I rack my brain I. Can't. Remember.

So instead I was playing with a new app on my iPhone, Diptic, and thought I would tell you about myself. I realized besides the fact that I am fabulous, post reviews & giveaways, love my dogs, swear too much and have a tendency to do idiotic things you don't know all that much about my personal life. Therefor I am sharing a glimpse into what make me tick.

I like to crochet while I watch TV. I just finished the pink on the bottom right for my 12 yr old nieces bed. Now I am starting one for my favorite teenage adopted niece.

I have a minor obsession with wall art. 2 of those are tatouage and took forever to put up. I also did the entire border of my kitchen in tatouage herbs.

I occasionally make my own candles and soaps. I don't have any pictures of the soaps right now, I need to make a batch.

I am great at growing flowers and herbs. Not as great at keeping them alive the entire season because A) I work about 60 hours a week in the summer and B) GOD I HATE bugs.

This one is a mix. I read like a maniac and refuse to throw away books. Every room in this house has some sort of bookshelf. Thank God for ebooks or my husband was going to shoot me. I also cross stitch, but only the pre printed ones, I have no patience for counting stitches.

The hubs Harley--I'm going to get my motorcycle license one of these days.
I am a fantastic cook, that's homemade wedding soup. I just don't do it often enough because it's normally just me for dinner since the hubs works afternoons.

So there you have it, my habits and hobbies in pictures! What do you do in your spare time?

Water Marbling Your Nails

I have no idea how I have not heard of this before today! I've been a nail polish fanatic for more years than I care to count, love my Sally Hansen nail shields and would rather eat nails than have a chipped manicure. So this morning when a friend of my posted a picture of some awesome nails and that she was getting the hang of water marbling, I naturally had to research it.For more information, check out an online college to find cosmetology classes that can teach you the latest when it comes to nail art trends.

When I got off work I gave it a shot. Here is the (very amateur) video I made showing how to Water Marble your nails:

Use a nail correcting pen, or dip the other end of your stick in nail polish remover to clean up cuticles (which I obviously haven't done yet) then apply top coat. Not bad for only the second time!
A couple of recommendations:
1. tape off all of your nails before you start, it is much easier and you won't end up smudging.
2. Use filtered or bottled water. I tried tap water the first time and was SO much easier with bottle water.
3. Use a top coat to seal it when you are done.
4. Have fun! Don't try to hard to do specific or complicated designs until you get the hang of it
