Nutrisystem Week 24

HI everyone! (at least those of you still tuning in) You may have noticed a conspicuous absence of posts on this blog over the last week. Honestly I needed the break, I was burned out from getting together the Holiday gift guide, working 55 hours a week at my "real" job, helping out mom, keeping (okay attempting to keep up) with my own house work and getting ready for the holidays.

I spent Saturday, Sunday and Monday prepping and cooking our traditional Italian holiday meals. Long days on my feet in the kitchen, grocery store trips for things I forgot. Not to mention wrapping presents and all that other hullabaloo. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were spent feeding family and then running around and visiting family. Today is the first day I could even bring myself to drag my tired brain near the computer.

I admit I did not lose any weight this past week, I actually gained 1 pound. This is totally my fault. I only cook like this once a year and I ate things that I shouldn't have. I did not follow my Nutrisystem meal plans and the schedule I have been adhering to for the last 24 weeks. Nutrisystem is a tool and if you don't utilize it, it isn't going to magically work!

On the other hand, I can now look back (even after a 1 pound gain) and be proud of myself. I baked tons of cookies, fudge and other stuff for the family. I can honestly tell you I ate maybe one of each cookie then wasn't tempted in the least to go back for more. My meal portions I kept reasonable, instead of second helpings or eating until I felt sick.

This to me tells me I've learned alot so far from my months on Nutrisystem. Habits that I can carry into the future with me and I worry less about gaining the weight back once I reach my goal. A couple more days of vacation and then it's back to work. While I'm not looking forward to going back to work, I am looking forward to getting back on my Nutrisystem schedule!

A new year is coming up and if you want to make changes to your health, lifestyle and weight, I honestly can encourage you to join me on the Nutrisystem plan!
