Butt Bench, Review & Giveaway

I love my bathroom. It's MINE, my husband showers in the scary basement shower (yuck!).. I have all my girly stuff in upstairs bathroom and like to try and keep it pretty. Only thing is that it is an old bathroom---like my grandparents built it in 1949. So it's small, the tub was just a tub until I installed the pipe to run a shower in it and it wasn't built to hold a bunch of shampoos, conditioners, body scrubs and all that other crazy stuff us gals love.

Seeing as how my bathroom is also very narrow, I like to shave my legs in the shower. Which usually consists of me standing on one leg in some weird stork like yoga position and trying not to slice open any significant arteries or crack my skull open (if you know me, you are aware of my natural grace so therefor realize this is a very really danger).

Well I recently discovered something called a Butt Bench. Kooky name, right? It is totally NOT one of those handicapped, sterile, ugly looking seats that you typically see in a bathroom. Nope! Butt Bench is patent pending bath seat made of natural wood which can serve a variety of different uses in the bathroom while still being aesthetically pleasing. It comes in two different widths (12" and 15") and a limited variety of finishes which should math just about any decor.
Not me! Credit to Butt Bench!
Installation is a breeze! Even the most mechanically challanged can handle this job in minutes! No drilling, hammering, ruining tile (or God Forbid) your manicure is required. Simply make sure that your tile is clean, align the suction cups on the back of the butt bench (which are on easy sliders) so that it is not on a grout line, then dampen and press into place. Bam, done!

To be honest, I have tried using suction cups for various things before and was kind of worried that these would slide or pop off but it has been several weeks and they are still in place.

Aesthetically the Butt Bench is very pleasing, I choose the 12" Pine, but you can also get it in white pine, pink pine, or Cedar. Each one is sealed so that no moisture will damage the wood (nor will you get a splinter in your tush!)  It is also a very nice way to dress up your tub a little!

I can't tell you how much I love being able to either sit and relax while I shave my legs or even just casually prop a leg on it to shave. It's also just like a little slice of heaven to simply sit down in the shower and let the water cascade down on you while you relax. The only thing I do not like about the Butt Bench is that if your bath is like mine, you need the shower curtain to keep water from going everywhere. The first time I used it I managed to soak the floor, but the Butt Bench and I are working on coming to an amicable agreement with the shower curtain and have done a little improvising

Specs: Butt Bench will fit a standard sized bathtub with at most a 30" width. It may not work on tubs older than 60 years. Will not work on tubs with sliding glass doors or one piece fiberglass tub shower inserts. Holds up to 300lbs.

I honestly cannot see someone who would NOT benefit and enjoy this item, but especially women, seniors, disabled people or pregnant woman will love it!

BUY IT: Can't wait to get one for yourself? Buy it online at http://www.buttbench.com. Prices start at $43.95---American made!

To be honest..i def learned that NOT having a bench is way more dangerous than i thought since there are so many random accidents that can happen, especially since myt shampoo and conditioner makes my tub slippery!!
