Fan Stamp Press On Eyeshadow Review & Giveaway

Sponsored by

Fan Stamp press on eye shadows are made from mineral make up, sweat and water resistant, hypoallergenic and each stamp can be used up to two times. They apply extremely quickly and easily and are great for groups looking to have a uniform appearance.

I have personally tried other eyeshadow products in the past that say you can do your whole eye with one swipe or rub the paper over your eyelid and have a pattern and honestly I wasn't really impressed. I was very surprised by Fan Stamp to say the least!

I received two sets of Fan Stamp press on eyeshadow stamps, a zebra and red silver glitter. The original plan was to test these on my niece for Halloween but she went the bloody vampire route so I got to play with them myself!! It literally took me less than a minute to apply and was so simple. Just remove from the plastic backing, center over your eyelid and press. The harder you press the darker the color or pattern, then pull off. Dust some setting powder (which is what makes it sweat and water resistant) and voila, you're finished.

don't judge, I know I need to fix those Caterpillar brows!
These would be amazing for cheerleaders, majorettes or any type of group, especially young children who don't sit still for a makeup application. Personally, I think they are great for us grown ups too. While Zebra might not be my choice to go out wearing, they have tons of other 'normal' color combos to choose from!
They even have face paint kits for children's parties!

BUY IT: You can purchase these online at These are available in packages of 3 or 5 sets and in rose, light blue, purple, green, gold, zebra, and blue zebra styles.

Tropical Traditions Coconut Soap Review & Giveaway

I've said it before and I will probably say it again, Tropical Traditions never disappoints me.  Their natural and organic bath and body product line is fast becoming one of my favorites. This time around I chose to review the Natural Soaps, specifically the Organic Scented Bar Soap. Again, since I shower at night, I picked the Lavender scent because I find it relaxing after a long day.

Basically, the key to any healthy, natural soap is the oil that is used for the base. Of course Tropical Traditions uses their own Organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil as base. Most soaps on the market are not made with 100% coconut oil and those that are typically will be made with refined coconut oil, unlike Tropical Traditions.

The first thing I did was the sniff test (of course!) and I really enjoy the light lavender scent of the high quality organic essential oil. The bar itself is a very dense bar. Quite thick and heavy feeling, but once you get it wet and it creates a fantastic lather. I love it even for shaving and find that it doesn't leave a sticky residue type of feeling on my skin after I am done showering. I even had the hubs give a shot to see how he liked it on his sensitive skin and other than smelling "girly" he had no adverse reactions.

BUY IT: You can purchase the bar soap online at Tropical Traditions. It comes in two scents: Tea Tree and Lavender. Buying several bars at a time will definitely score you a substantial discount and insure that you don't run out!

WIN IT: One reader will win a bar in the scent of their choice. Please use the rafflecopter form to enter.

Talk To Us Tuesdays

It's Tuesday (all day I thought it was Wednesday so now I'm really pissed) but at least I didn't miss linking up with IA and Shawn for Talk To Us Tuesdays. There are no rules, thank God, because I probably should save this for Boobies Fawk You Friday, but I'm irritated NOW and don't wanna wait til Friday. Plus I'm on Vicodin and nobody else will listen.
  1.  I have been having horrible, wretched pain in my neck, shoulder and my arm keeps going numb. I saw a Chiro last week and he did xrays which pointed out that I have 3 bone spurs going up the left side of my neck. He adjusted me and put me on some medieval machine resembling the rack. Then sent me to my family Dr for him to prescribe some drugs. Family Dr is sending me for an MRI to see if I also have a damaged disc. Bastard has me on so much prednisone I considered wearing my bathing suit to work today due to hot flashes. At least he coughed up some vicodin!
  2. Since I live in fear of my mother one day finding my blog, I will boil it down. After weeks of rehashing the same thing over and over and her not listening to me (it is what I do for a LIVING) I replied to the last message with "You can do whatever you want" Apparently that is extremely disrespectful and earned me a text message lecture. She is also currently not speaking to me. I was not trying to be disrespectful, nor have I intentionally ever been disrespectful since I outgrew being a freaking rotten ass teenager. I'm 35, not a child and if you don't want my opinion about something stop asking. Just because you are older than me and gave birth to me, you can possibly still be wrong about something.
  3. My husband is on vacation. For nine freaking days. I can't turn around without him being up my butt. Until an hour ago when I pissed him off.
  4. I got home after being at work for 11 hours. I haven't set my purse down yet and he says "Sarah is here, she's been waiting for you, let her play with your phone" (Sarah, I'm pretty sure knows better since she is my 21 year old stepdaughter and was hiding in the living room) I replied "No, you know I don't let anyone play with my phone and do you mind if I set my damn purse down?" He continued in this vein for several minutes until he noticed that my head had exploded all over the kitchen.
  5. Right after my head exploded I happened to notice he had his shoes on. In the house. Now, I am not one of those insane people that you could eat off of their bathroom floor it's so clean (I wish I was), but I do have my pet peeves. After 13 frickin years he knows damn well shoes in the house are a major one. He tried to tell me they weren't dirty.

My head exploded again. My stepdaughter snuck out the front door after she made sure I knew "he did it" and now HE is hiding in the basement not speaking to me.

If you read all the way through this post, well you deserve a medal. or a vicodin. Thank GOD for the vicodin.

Zipz Shoes- Review & Giveaway

Have you heard of Zipz Shoes? I hadn't until recently. What they are is removable and interchangeable shoes.Yup, you heard me right, these babies are like nothing you have had before. You simply match any ZIPS covers to the same size ZIPZ sole, zip them together and you are good to go. Zipz shoes were invented in California and designed in the US.

I personally find this concept amazing! I'm the type of wacko that has to have her shoes match her outfit or I just feel awkward. Obviously (at least to my checkbook) it is not feasible for me to own umpteen pairs of tennis shoes, nor would they fit in the teeny tiny closet I call my own. With Zipz you could own a bunch (shhhh!! don't tell the hubby!) of covers and a single pair of soles!
I picked the CB Bandanaz Adult High top to review, thinking that they were fun and a little wild, plus I figured if I didn't like them I have an 11 year old niece who has the same shoe size as me that would love them.

I had been thinking that they would be sorta flimsy and that the zipper would not be very strong. I was very surprised. The soles are very thick and well made, not flimsy at all and the covers are a high quality material that is quite thick, you can tell that they are hand made by the attention to detail. The zipper is not like a zipper on a pair of blue jeans where zzzzippp and your done. This is a tight fitting zipper with dense teeth that is going to take you a minute or two to get done, but that's a good thing. You know it's sealing well and that every stray splash of water isn't going to seep in.

I really love my Zipz and am already planning the next cover I want to pick up (no my niece is not getting them, but I will probably will pick her up a pair for Christmas). They have tons to choose from including Adult High-Top, Adult Lo-Top, Youth choices and adorable toddler styles!
BUY THEM: You can purchase Zipz online and prices vary by style.

WIN THEM: The amazing folks at Zipz have agreed to give one of my readers a pair of Zipz, winners choice!

Gelaskins Review & Giveaway

I would venture to say that if you are reading this blog, then you are probably tech savvy and have your own cell phone. I mean, honestly just about everyone has a cell phone, iPod, e-reader, tablet or some sort of electronic device these days. Many have more than one.If you like me, you want to keep it protected from scratches and whatnot but would also like to have some of your personality shine through, right?

Well Gelaskins does both. What are Gelaskins you ask?
"The best skins on the planet! GelaSkins are removable covers for protecting and customizing your portable devices. They feature stunning, photo-quality graphics ranging from fine art prints to contemporary urban images designed by our growing family of artists from around the globe. Stand out in the crowd with personalized protection from GelaSkins"
Easy on & Easy off: Since they have the patented 3M adhesive, Gelaskins are easy to apply and leave no sticky residue behind. The best part is that this 3M adhesive lets you easily remove and reposition your skin so that you can acheive the perfect fit.

No Scratches: Gelaskins protect your device from scratching with a durable anti-UV coating.

3M: They did tons of research and chose 3M because the adhesive contains patented micro channels to prevent air bubbles from forming and allow for easy, clean removal even after years of use.

Don't think you have to have an iPhone to order one of these babies either, they fit over 100 devices and it's easy to check and see if yours is one of them. You click on your device when you find it, then browse through the artwork

Don't get me started on the artwork either. They have 100+ AMAZING artists and fabulous pictures that will have you browsing forever and changing your mind 20 times. I recommend you go in with the mindset to purchase more than one--trust me. If all those pictures aren't exactly what you are looking for or you just had something else in mind, no big deal because you can personalize your own skin!

After much browsing I chose to customize a skin for my iPad. I normally keep it in a case, but when I am sitting in my chair reading it get a little bulky and I like to take it out, so this was perfect for me. I pulled up a picture of my little girl (ahem, dog) that I love and got started. The whole process was super easy and only took me a couple minutes. I submitted it and by the next day I had an email from Gelaskins containing my custom wallpaper for my iPad and within about 3-4 days I had my skin--I was shocked because I figured since it was custom  it would take longer (and no, the couldn't have known it was for a blogger as I used a gift code and went through the process just like a normal customer!)
Back view of iPad (sorry about the flash)

front view with custom wallpaper--see how the paws at the bottom match up to her legs on the screen?
I personally think it came out amazing. No special tools need to apply, just make sure your device is clean then peel off and slowly place on device and smooth with a soft cloth to eliminate air pockets. The front was a little more tricky because it's basically a big open square that wants to flop around, luckily it was no problem to pull it up and reposition it a couple times. My gelaskin actually applied way easier than the clear screen protector I put on it.

Here are a couple others that I adore:
credit Gelaskins  $14.95
credit Gelaskins $14.95
Of course these are just a couple of them. There are tons more! The best thing is that they are so thin you can put a regular case over them if you want or even a clear case.

BUY IT: You can purchase a skin for yourself or even a gift certificate for that hard to please teenager by visiting there store at Prices are very reasonable and start at $14.95

WIN IT: Thanks to generous folks at Gelaskins I have TWO gift certificates to give away. 1st winner will receive $25 and 2nd will receive $15.

Fantasy Jewelry Box, Review & Giveaway

I love jewelry. Let's just say that I have a queens tastes on a peasants budget. So I can't really afford to have myself dripping in jewels as I would prefer too. Luckily there is Fantasy Jewelry Box to fulfill my bling needs. is one of leading online retailers of celebrity and designer inspired jewelry. They have everything from faux engagement rings to fake diamond bracelets and let me tell you, your friends will never be able to tell you aren't wearing the real thing (unless your BFF is Paris Hilton--she might be able to tell).

I had a hard time deciding which item to pick to review but eventually settled on Alessandra's 14K Gold Flower Garden Necklace.

Note: picture is from FJB site- I only received the necklace, not the earrings.
It looks so delicate that I was worried about how well it would hold up or if it would bend, so I was really surprised when I received it. It is very sturdy and would take alot of effort to damage it, yet till manages to look delicate. Even the hook that connects the chain is very well made. The only thing I didn't like is that the chain is very short and with something this size (about a fifty cent piece) I prefer it to hang a little lower. That's easy enough to remedy though, just switch chains!

I've never not been happy with an item I have received from and already have my eye on my next piece:
Kate Middleton inspired Sapphire Blue Engagement Ring $49.95
What? I already told you I have delusions of grandeur, I might as well live up to them! Their prices are amazing but if you are super frugal you can always shop the Clearance and Sale section!

Visit Fantasy Jewelry Box on Facebook to keep up with the latest info. FYI, any order of $50 or more receives a FREE set of 1 carat earrings!

Want to win some gorgeous bling for yourself? Well you are in luck because is going to give one of my readers a $25 gift card so they can pick something up for themselves!

Savvycents Wallet Organizer- Review &Giveaway

I'm gonna go ahead and admit it straight out. I love coupons. I am also a hot, disorganized mess 99% of the time. Yes, I do have one of those jumbo binders with all my coupons organized in it (if I've done it that week) but I hate lugging that bad boy around if I don't need too. Plus I found that I was printing a coupon or two at work, picking up peelies at the grocery store and grabbing them at my allergists office then shoving them in my purse or pocket. I quickly had coupons and receipts everywhere and half the time couldn't find what I needed.  That's why I was so thrilled to be able to review the Savvycents wallet organizer.

The savvycents wallet organizer is dream come true. It is 8" long by 4" wide with a complete zipper closure and has a zippered pocket on the outside for change. When you open it up you will find 6 pockets for debit cards & the like with a money pocket behind them. The other side has 2 plastic covered pockets for id & insurance cards. Behind those is a super handy accordion file system. Each pocket has a plastic tab system (and your wallet comes with pre printed labels and blank ones so you can label however you want). There is a stretchy strap with a snap closure that you can use to contain your accordion file.

Let me tell you, I have been using mine for a month and it still looks brand new. I don't know how I got along before this! I organized my accordion pockets by store, so I get all the coupons ready ahead of time and put them in the corresponding pocket. Plus I still have a pocket left over for misc. coupons that I find along the way and one pocket for receipts. Honestly, this is the best wallet ever and I'm thinking about ordering in another color, just so I have it!

BUY IT: You can purchase one of these for yourself at They come in Black, Red and Pink and retail for $28.

WIN IT: Since Melinda Claudepierre- the creator of Savvycents- is so awesome, she is going to give one of my readers a Wallet Coupon Organizer in black.

Renuzit Review & Giveaway

New for the holiday season, Renuzit has released two new scents to their Fresh Accents line. Winter Berry and Festive Snow are the two lovely new scents. They are housed in a stylish yet versatile two sided holiday designed container. These may be small enough to fit just about anywhere but they provide up to 30 days of continuous odor elimination and fragrance without needing a battery, plug or even a match! Not to mention they are a great accent to any decor.

I received one of each scent and because I naturally wanted to use both right away (no patience here) I took the Festive Snow to work and put it in our private bathroom. First of I think it classes the place up a bit (always an issue when you work with all men) and second it smells great. My boss actually walked out, looked at me and said "the bathroom smells like a Christmas tree. What did you do?" Win!! The Winter Berry one I have on the window sill in the kitchen, because I love the way the light hits it and throws the pattern around the room. This one has to be my favorite scent!

Talk To Us Tuesdays

Yeah, I know I'm awful late in the day to be joining up but that job thingy I have is killing me lately--cutting into my internet time and whatnot, like they expect me to occasionally do what they pay me for.

Anywhiner, I decided to hook up with Impulsive Addict and Shawn for their Talk To Us Tuesdays cuz they got no rulz! It feels kinda weird being on the right side of the law, since I'm normally breaking some sort of rule somewhere :-) By the way--you definitely need to check out these ladies if you haven't already....I am pretty sure I almost peed my pants laughing at todays vlog!

I wanted to share  a couple random tid bits to enlighten you as to how my days go----

Phone call this morning from a guy:
Guy "you all rent dumpsters?"
Me "yes, BUT they are for construction material ONLY"
Guy "okay so whats a long  size cost, I'm gettin my roof replaced?"
Me "there is no standard size, it depends on how big the roof is and how many layers of shingles are being torn off"
Guy "okay, it's a ranch house. What that cost me?"
ME *bang head on desk and spend another ten minutes trying to explain that all ranch houses are not the same damn size. Finally figure out what he needs*
GUY "a'right I gots one more question. I wants the roof done quick and its supposed to rain and I don't want them comin n goin so I wanna do it when its not rainin. You got a number of someone I can call"
Me "Do you need a contractor referral?"
Guy "No, I jest told you. I want them here when it ain't gonna rain"
Me "okay, I suggest you watch the weather channel"
Guy "I did that and they said its gonna rain.  Don't you people got a number of someone I can call?"
Me " FOR WHAT?" (yes I am raising my voice a wee bit)
Guy "For the rain"
Me "watch the weather channel, watch the news---I don't have a number for someone to call to change the weather forecast"
Guy "jest thought you might have a number"
Me "goodbye"

The owner was apparently attracted to my shrill "watch the weather channel" and peers into my office "are you crying?"
Me: "no, but I am considering jumping out the window"

That was at 8 am. It went downhill from there.

Enjoy Hair Care- Review & Giveaway

Let me start off this review & giveaway post by saying: "Dear ENJOY, will you please, please, pretty please, be my best friend?" That should give you an inkling of how I feel after trying these products and that I will probably be gushing at some point!

ENJOY, is a professional hair care line that creates salon quality products. Their goal is to empower hairdressers with the absolute finest professional hair care products, tools and programs in to compete in an ever changing environment. ENJOY loves taking the time to educate hair stylists and takes their feedback into consideration when creating products.

I received on each of the following products for review:
ENJOY, Sulfate-Free Luxury Shampoo, Color Holding Formula locks in Hair color.-- Gently cleanse, moisturize and smooth the hair. Relieve stressed out hair and scalp. May also be used as a luxurious skin wash. pH 5.0-6.0

ENJOY Luxury Conditioner, Color Holding Formula--Moisturize and soften the hair. Product may also be used for shaving and moisturizing the skin. pH4.5-5.5

ENJOY Straightener--Straighten and control coarse or curly hair. Leaves hair soft and smooth. Works on even the coarsest hair.

ENJOY Shine and Smooth: Eliminates frizziness. Makes hair soft and silky without weight. Great for hair and skin. Locks in moisture and blocks out humidity.

ENJOY Hair & Skin Treatment Oil-- An incredible non-greasy, dry, lightweight formula which dramatically reduces drying time. Eliminates frizz. Locks in moisture, blocks out humidity. Great for all hair types.

My thoughts:
I. Am. In. Love. Seriously. If you have been around this blog for any length of time you know I have long, naturally curly hair that drives me nuts. I usually have to use a ton of product to keep the frizz at bay (thanks to humidity) and then when I shampoo I seldom feel like my hair has come clean. The ENJOY Luxury Shampoo and Conditioner are amazing. The first time I used them I made the mistake of using the amount of shampoo I would normally use. It was like one of those commercials or TV shows when you see the dishwasher or clothes washer overflowing and filling up a room with suds. You need VERY little of this shampoo to get a good cleansing lather going and it is very rich, smooth and smells FABULOUS!
After shampooing and conditioning my hair felt silky clean and smooth. Afterwards, instead of putting gel in my hair like normal, I tried a bit of the Hair & Skin treatment oil. It left my hair so soft and gave my curls a natural gloss instead of the normal 'crunchy' look.

A couple days later I decided to give the Straightener and Shine and smooth a shot. I can honestly tell you I will never, ever straighten my hair without these products again. Normally when I straighten, I blow dry first and it looks as if I electrocuted myself. The straightener made a HUGE difference. Next I applied a little bit of Shine and Smooth and ran the flat iron through it, normally a 45 minute process I was done in about 20.
Here is what I normally look like before straightening
After using ENJOY
BUY IT: You can purchase ENJOY, products at a Salon near you.
WIN IT: Thanks to ENJOY, one of my readers will receive the exact same items that I did.

Spike Your Juice, Homemade Hooch--Review & Giveaway

Sponsored by

It's no secret that the husband and I enjoy the occasional adult beverage in the privacy of our own home, so I was intrigued when I heard about Spike Your Juice.

Spike Your Juice was created by a group of Europeans living in California, who were craving a drink called “FederweiƟer”. The original drink is known by many names, depending upon which region of Germany or Austria, and only available from early September to late October during the harvest time. Since transportation over long distance is nearly impossible due to the ongoing fermentation inside the bottles, they created their own version. Thanks to their craving and ingenuity now we can create our own sparkling beverage at home, all year long.

How does it work:
Well, surprisingly it is super easy! Just three little steps! Here is the cliff notes version:
1. Pick your juice (64 oz bottle, Welch's or Ocean Spray recommended)
No artificially sweetened or refrigerated juices. Minimum sugar content of 20g per serving.
2. Pour included "secret ingredient" packet into bottle. No shaking or stirring necessary. Apply included label to bottle
3. Fill included airlock with water and seal bottle. Store at room temperature for 48 hours.

After 48  hours you can taste it. The longer you leave it sealed with the airlock the more the sugar is "eaten" and the dryer the taste and the higher the alcohol content.

Here's a short video of us making ours. Grape, Cranberry or pomegranate are recommended but since we like Blueberry and I had a couple of bottle on hand, that's what we went with.
(also, my husband can't seem to remember I'm recording him so ignore any extra muttering you hear)
See? Easy! After that we just let it sit on our table at room temperature for 48 hours. Then we gave it a taste test. VERY Yummy! It was like drinking blueberry champagne! Not alot of "kick" after only 48 hours but a pleasant mellow bubbly taste.
After 48 Hours, about to remove airlock

I love it! Since we still have 5 more ingredient packets from the kit, the hubby will be experimenting a little. For $9.99 this is well worth the money and thinking my brother in law just might love one of these for Christmas!

You can order online at They have a variety of kits and options. Pricing and shipping is extremely reasonable!

One lucky reader is going to win the same kit I received, which is enough to make 6-64oz bottles.

iStyle Originals Review & Giveaway

Have you heard of yet? They are an awesome Canadian company that carries a line of T-Shirts and accessories that are perfect for those of us addicted to our "i" technology! (iPhone, iPod, iPad whatever!) It's a unique and fun way to express yourself in the modern technology addicted world we are currently living in.

I mean let's face it, it's an iGeneration and everyone from Gramma to a baby knows how to use an i-accessory, just look at the kids playing games on them in the Dr's office waiting room! I'm not entirely convinced my pooches don't give it a whirl when I'm sleeping.... Here are a couple of my fave's:
Since I loved everything and couldn't decide, I left it up to them to surprise me. I was sent the iRock T-shirt. Before I even saw the T-shirt, I was giggling because I loved the box. They are each packaged in a fun box that has "grinnable" instructions, Specifications and System requirements, not to mention the inserted paper compatibility list! The T-shirt itself is a nice, thick, well sewn, 100% cotton. I like that it isn't a cheapo thin T-shirt that will wear out after a couple of washings--it will definitely last. Even though I am wearing a mens shirt, besides the sleeves being a tad long it is a very good fit and you can see it has kept it's color after a couple of washings. I can think of a couple people and perhaps a dog or two that will be getting something from iStyle this Christmas!
