The Hubs and I like it hot....our sauce that is! I came across Scotty B's website the other day and just knew it was meant to be! Scotty B's is the winner of the 2006 & 2007 Fiery Food Challenge. They have 8 mouth watering flavors (2 are not yet up on the site) each with their own bio that tells you how Scotty came up with them and what's in them. It even offers food pairing suggestions for each.
- Berries N'Heat
- Jalepeno Scream
- Sweet Habenaro
- Sweet Jalapeno Heat
- Chipoltle Fever
- Ghostly Garlic
- Arch Nemesis (very hot!)
The bottle of Ghostly Garlic came on Saturday afternoon while the hubby was at work, so like a good wife I went out and picked up an order of plain wings and a pizza (what? you thought I was going to bake the wings myself? it was 80 degrees out, no way was I turning the oven on!) When he came home from worked he was thrilled that a) there were wings and b) there was a totally new hot sauce for him to test out. I let him do his thing and Doctor up the wings. In a few minutes I could smell them from the living room.
I find that it is an almost sweetish smell at first, then the pepper and garlic kick in but don't overpower it. The same with the taste, it is almost mild at first but builds up to an eye watering heat. The hubs was eating his wings happily until he suddenly said "I think my lips are peeling off". That didn't stop him though! He happily munched away and a little while after he finished he looked at me and said "I think even my hair is sweating"
If super hot isn't your cup of tea and you prefer just a little bit of heat, it's no problem, just make sure not to choose one one with Ghost Peppers in it! Personally I am dying to try the Berries N'Heat on some chicken cooked on the grill...looks like I'll be putting an order in soon!
This product is also All Natural, Gluten free, Low Sodium, has NO Preservatives and is Vegan!
You know your mouth is watering now! So one lucky reader is going to win a bottle--Flavor of their choice--of Scotty B's Gourmet Sauce! Fill out the RaffleCopter form to enter:

It is no secret that I have been working with Tropical Traditions almost as long as I have been blogging. I am always excited to try a different product from them and get to tell my readers about it. I have never been unhappy with anything I have tried and many products I continue to use daily (or close). Some of my previous favorites that reviewed and now have incorporated into my life are the Moisturizing Cream (I use it on my face nightly), the All Purpose Cleaner (wonderful in kitchen) and the Organic Raw Honey (soooo yummy) to mention a few.
I have a feeling the Skin Exfoliator may join my favorites list! Recently I have been buying exfoliators from the drug store, trying to keep my skin smooth and silky but those products are full of man made ingredients and chemicals. Tropical Traditions Skin Exfoliator is 100% natural, hand made and contains no alcohols, no artificial fragrances and no petroleum products. Now personally, if I can find a product that is 100% natural and just as good or better? You can bet I'm all over it.
They make two versions, the first is unscented so that if you are sensitive to fragrances this one is for you. The second are the scented versions, which contain only high quality essential oils that have been imported from France. The ingredients are; sea salt, organic macadamia nut oil, organic jojoba, organic virgin coconut oil, organic virgin palm oil and (since I chose scented) organic oil of essential lavender.
I have had the chance to try it out several times and actually feel that it does a better job than the store brands I have tried in the past. Before I use it, I shake it up to make sure everything is mixed evenly and then scoop a little out with my fingers and scrub elbows, heels or whatever. I love the silky feeling it leaves my skin with, unlike the other brands I have tried. Since I normally shower at night, I choose the lavender for it's relaxing properties and find the scent to be very mild, yet soothing. Like I said, fast becoming a fave!

I remember when I was working as an insurance representative, I had to dress up everyday and I had such a hard time finding appropriate professional attire. I really wish Express had the great women's suits back then that they do now. You can find everything from creative, professional to executive can be found for both women and men's suits.
I want to look like a woman and not a woman in a mans suit but I still want to look professional and that is really hard to find. That's one of the reasons that I really like the look of the Express women's suits. Even better is that after a long day at work you can still meet the girls out for a cocktail and look fab instead of stuffy!
I love this particular suit, it's a women's rouched sleeve jacket with pants. Perfect for the office and just unbutton and freshen your make up and you are ready to hit happy hour. Check it out:
For a limited time you can visit their website daily to enter for a chance to win the Express sweepstakes, a $500 suiting makeover! So what are you waiting for?
Since I am curious kinda gal, I'd love to have you leave a comment letting me know which suits you like best from Express and why you like them.

I've recently lost some weight and am pretty darn proud of myself for it. I'm also feeling alot better about myself and find that I now want to dress better. The last couple of years I have to admit, I have been a frump. I didn't feel like I looked good, so I didn't dress good. Now I am all excited to buy some clothes that fit and are nice.
I was super excited to get the chance to do a review for Hue Hosiery. I was sent a pair of HUE: Super Opaque Control Top Tights in the color black to try out. These tights are not your average discount department store tights. They give your legs more than just a "wash" of color and while most tights are a 40 denier (denier is the linear mass density of the fibers) these tights are a 90 denier. Which means your legs are not going to peep through! Made from a stretch nylon with a control top to help shape my tummy (until I loose the rest of that extra weight), these babies are perfect with a really long sweater and some kickin boots.
Hosiery tends to run weird, but they fit PERFECT! They are also very well made, you can feel the quality and that they are not going to snag or run the first time you bump into something.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Hello Ladies (and of course Gentlemen!). Have I mentioned to you previously how much I adore Eden Fantasys as my number one go to adult shop for all things "grown up"? I'm pretty sure I have, but it bears repeating! Eden Fantasys rocks.
Halloween is right around the corner and we are seeing costume shops spring up all over the place. It got me to thinking that while Halloween parties are the norm for many, some of us have to work or just don't get into the whole party scene but would still love to dress up and have a little fun. My husband adores Halloween and I thought what better way to make him happy than to play a little dress up for him!
Eden Fantasys has some of the best sexy lingerie around, plus shipping is always super fast and super discreet (hey if the mail man accidentally drops your package off with the 92 year old woman next door--she'll never know what's in that package!). Give your partner a thrill and surprise them by dressing up as a Lager Lass, a Naughty Nun, a French Maid or any number of costumes. To top it off, for those of us who are not as lithe as we wish (that's me!) Eden Fantasys even has a Queen Size Lingerie line that is hot, hot, hot!
While these opinions are all mine, this is a sponsored post and I will receive a gift card for posting my opinions.
I recently had the chance to review an item from them and really enjoyed perusing their website to pick out the perfect bear. They have so many amazingly cute bears to choose from that it was hard for me to pick just one. I have to say that they make it really easy for you to shop by separating everything into specific categories like Gift Occasion, Create a T-Shirt Teddy, Pick a Teddy Bear, Occupation, Sports and more. Then each category is broken down further allowing you to choose Christmas, Fireman, Teacher, Soccer and so on. You can even personalize your Teddy for a truly unique gift!
After much searching and cooing over the cuteness I choose the Arabella Bear, my mom collects bears on a church bench in her foyer and Arabella will be an adorable addition. She came wrapped securely in her box and just took a second for me to fluff her up--she wasn't squashed in a too small package to save shipping costs like some companies do. Here she is sitting in my computer room:
Huggable Teddy Bears in mind for this holiday season!
Also, they support several children's charities. Click the link on their homepage and help donate a teddy bear to a child in need. 100% of the sponsors funds go to children in need.

Talk To Us Tuesday is a new meme host by Confessions from an Impulsive Addict and Seriously Shawn. The best part of this meme is that there are NO rules. None, zip, zilch, zero, nada. If you wanna grab their buttons and link back that's cool but you can talk about anything you want and don't have to stand on your head and rub your tummy in a reverse circle motion to be part of this party!
So me, I'm using my bit of air time to mention a couple random things. First is a convo with the hubs:
He's looking at the dogs begging him for their nightly treats and saying "Sorry guys. Mommy doesn't love you anymore, she didn't buy you any treats at the store"
Me: "um, yeah, I did. Go get one of the bags off the kitchen table"
He looks at me quizzically and says "I didn't see any dog snacks" but wanders off to the kitchen to look and I hear him say "huh, I thought these were bags of brownie mix"
Him "well I saw the soft & chewy and thought they were bags of brownie mix"
Me: "The giant milkbone didn't give it away huh?"
The second is a convo with one of the 60 year old guys at work. Let's call him Joe.
Joe is new to Facebook, but somehow managed to find me and I accidentally accepted his friend request. Joe is one of those Facebook people that has NO. FREAKIN. CLUE.
Joe daily asks me how to do something. This time it was how to get rid of all those pictures Steve's wife keeps putting up. (I'm not friends with Steve's wife, but whatevs) So I give him the step by step on how to hide someone and then he tells me why.
Apparently Steve's wife posted a thingy saying she needed bricks.
Joe comes to work and asks Steve how many bricks his wife needs cuz he can get a good deal.
Steve gets pissed that his wife is planning to build something he has no clue about and calls his wife and says WTF? Joe wants to know how many bricks you need................................When Steve's wife gets done laughing she tells him her Orchard on Farmville is all built.

My previous scale was a plain old white scale that I had a long lasting love/hate relationship with. I loved it when it told me what I want to see and hated it passionately more often than not. It was just a plain, boring old thing that I kept in the spare room and it amazingly enough kicked the bucket the same day that I was offered a chance to review a Weight Watchers scale by Conair.
These new scales made by Conair and licensed by Weight Watchers are scales that you won't have to delegate to a corner of the spare room or hide under your sink, they are that sleek and pretty. Plus those sleek looks might just keep you from chucking it out the window on the days you happen to hate it!
The model I choose for review is the Weight Watchers Glass Body Analysis Scale Model WW52. Besides being gorgeous (this picture doesn't do it justice) it is amazing. You can program in up to four users and every time you step on the scale and select your user # it will measure your weight, body fat, body water/hydration levels and bone mass. It even comes with a neat little chart telling you what your levels should be for your age and height.
It is super easy to program and instead of going into detail I'm going to show you a short video. If you could please excuse the slight shaking at the end, I had a dog climbing up my arm? Between the husband muttering and the dogs thinking this was some new game, this is the best I could do.
See? Easy Peasy, even for someone with a camera in one hand, a husband that kept muttering inappropriate comments so I'd have to start over and four dogs trying to play. You only have to program the info once and it is stored for good, from then on out you just select your user # and hop on.
All in all, I dearly love this scale. Typically when you are on a weight loss program you should only weigh yourself once a week so as not to get side tracked by normal fluctuations, however I tend to do it daily now, because I like to see what my hydration levels are and if I need to drink more water. Plus, it's just so pretty!
Need a new scale of your own? Well, Conair is going to give one of my readers one! This one doesn't have ALL the bells and whistles but it is a very pretty scale to show off in your bathroom. One reader will win the Weight Watchers by Conair Digital Painted Glass Scale, Model WW24.
If you just want a good old simple weight measurement, but with extraordinary style, this best-selling Weight Watchers scale is a great choice! The smooth scale has an easy-to-read 1.3” digital display with a “tap-on” scale activator. There is a high-strength tempered safety glass with decorative silk screen available in white, red, or blue. The scale is 11.8” X 12.6” and has a 400 lb. capacity. The scale runs on long-life AAA lithium batteries that are included and has a 10-year warranty.Click below to enter
The Weight Watchers by Conair Digital Painted Glass Scale Model WW24 is available nationwide at stores such as Target, Sears, Meijer, Fry’s, as well as at www.conair-store.com for an average retail price of $29.99.

WIN IT: One reader is going to win this fabulous nail care kit (I wish I could enter my own giveaways, lol!)

I'm not ashamed to admit that I refuse to age gracefully. I'm 35 and as I get close to 36 I start to panic a little bit more. I will go kicking and screaming and fighting every step of the way. I figure I don't feel old (most days) so why should I look older. I do the best I can to take care of my skin now, so that I won't develop wrinkles or lines as I age. I also look for quality products to use. That's why I was thrilled to be able to try Exuviance Vespera Bionic Serum.
Exuviance Vespera Bionic Serum is said to help smooth lines and wrinkles on aging skin while protecting from oxidative damage. It is a concentrated blend of Alpha Hydroxy, Polyhydroxy acids, Pro Vitamins A, E & C and powerful anti oxidants. In clinical studies it has been shown that after 6 weeks most users show a 212% improvement in skin clarity and 89% of users claimed significant improvement in skin texture and smoothness.
Vespera Bionic Serum can be used on it's own or as a booster underneath other treatments. It is gentle enough to be used on even the most sensitive skin.
Several things really stand out with the Vespera Bionic Serum. It comes in a gorgeous emerald green glass bottle with a easy to use pump type cap. You really need VERY little of this product as a little goes a LONG way and the pump makes it easy to get just enough. The serum itself is colorless and so smooth. It feels like you are smoothing liquid silk into your skin. It dries very quickly so you can apply your regular lotion or creams and I don't notice any scent associated with it. Also using it on my sensitive under eye are and have had no burning or tearing.
Vespera Bionic Serum can be purchased online at http://www.exuviance.com/. A full size 1oz bottle retails for $68.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Linking up to the iPhone Photo Phun again this week. (you don't have to have an iPhone, as long as the pictures are taken on some sort of phone, you can play along!)
So I was shopping at Kohls this weekend when I came upon something I just knew I had to catch a shot of so I could send the pic to Daffy. I may or may not have accidently crashed that weird push cart thingy into a shoe rack trying to snap a photo.

Last but not least in the line up of Fuse items we got to review are the InTune Headphones. They make four different headphones and you choose which ones you use by the genre of music you listen too. Whole bunch of technical music speak as to why certain ones sound better with certain types of music. My husband could explain it, but you'd most likely be bored to death and fall asleep on your keyboard. All I need to know is that the four genres they sell headphones for are Rock/Blues/Country, Rap/Hip Hop, Jazz/Classical, Pop/Easy Listening and each set comes with three sizes of soft ear bud covers so that you can choose which is most comfortable for you.
Gotta be honest here I was a tad skeptical. I mean I have decent headphones, I paid a fair amount of money for them, how could these ones be any different? HA! No really--HA!
I kept the Rock/Blues/Country ones for myself because I primarily listen either to rock or country. The sound quality is simply amazing. When I first plugged them in I was amazed by how good they sounded. I kept thinking that I was just imagining such a big difference so I got out my old earbuds. I kept switching out old/new, old/new----holy cow, they actually sounded even better after I did that. The difference is that noticeable. My old buds make everything sound tinny, my InTune headphones give me a rich quality experience.
Since I don't listen to Pop or Easy Listening type music I gave those to my mom. She adjusted the size of hers to fit better and has started using the iPod function on her phone way more often. Just today she said since it sounds so good she wants me to help her get more music on it!
However the ultimate test was yet to come. A teenager! We all know they never go anywhere without headphones in (or at least some sort of music playing). since neither the husband or I listen to Rap/Hip Hop, I packed those ones up and mailed them to Teenie Queenie--she's Boobies daughter, who better to review them for me?---and waited for her report. I wasn't disappointed. I got the text message: "I got the headphones and they're freaking amazing! I've bought at least 20 different kinds and none ever sounded as good as these. I'll have to hide them from mom"
There you have it. 3 different generations have tried these and each of us adore them. I'm picking up a pair of the Rock/Blues/Country ones for the hubby and another pair for my father as Christmas Gifts.
All of the Fuse items I have reviewed are available for purchase at http://fuseplusyou.com/
Win it! Thanks to the awesome folks at Fuse, one of my readers will take win their choice of a set of InTune Headphones or choice of Antibacterial Screen Guard (approx. $30 value)
Next up for review are the Antibacterial Screen guards. These bad boys are made with nano silver properties to keep 99% of bacteria from growing on your screens and keep them squeaky clean and fingerprint free. Since we already had covers on our devices, I thought I would be nice and put them on moms, plus since she has immune system issues I figured she would benefit from the Antibacterial properties.
Here are some of the specifics:
I received the above mentioned product/s in order to offer my honest opinion of them. No other compensation was received. All opinions are 100% mine, those of other consumers may differ.
I admit that I was a little slow to get on the whole mp3 player, text messaging, iPhone type of revolution, but when I did it was with a vengeance and I dragged my other and husband right along with me. Now all three of us are to the point that we can't imagine how we got along without them. Of course once you get started then you want all sorts of gadgets and accessories to go with your iPhone, am I right? Problem is which ones are worth the money are which ones are just junk?
I had the chance to review some items from fuse and let me tell you, they are well worth the money! The first thing we reviewed is the PowerSlice charging system. I had previously been using a different brand of charger (who shall remain nameless) and like it just fine except for the fact that I couldn't use a pretty case on my phone. I always had to have it the bulky case that enabled to charge on the "mat" when I set it down.
PowerSlice does not require a specific case. It is a round dock that has three stations on it where you can "park" your phone to charge, plus a USB port that you can plug another device into. The "slices" are sold separately so that you can purchase whichever ones you need for your family. Since we all have iPhones, I got three iPhone slices. Some other brands that will charge with slices are; Kyocera, Motorola, Blackberry, LG, Nokia, Palm Treo, Samsung and Sanyo. (to check to see if your device is supported you can look here.)
Next up is the Antibacterial Screen guards. I went to put them on for her, expecting the same frustrating experience as when I put mine on, but they went on much easier--I don't know if it is how they are made or just a lucky try. Once they were on I will have to admit to being jealous. Her screens, especially the iPad, look so much better and even feel smoother than the protector I have on mine does. She kept touching it and saying "it's so nice!"
I received the above mentioned product in order to write my honest opinion of it. No other compensation was received. All opinions are 100% mine and those of other consumers may differ

I know I've posted before how sentimental I get about Christmas Ornaments and that my mother bought me one every year from the time I was born until the time I got married. My Christmas tree is a mix up of all different types of ornaments, but that's how I like it. I recently had the opportunity to review an ornament of my choice from OrnamentShop.com.
OrnamentShop.com has more than 3000 personalized ornaments for customers to choose from. The are made from a variety of materials including; clay, resin, dough, glass, ceramic and metal. Having been in business for more than 29 years and on the Internet since 1999, they certainly are proven in their field.
The hardest part was picking out which ornament to get! They have so many to choose from with categories like travel, grandparents, religious, pets and animals, sports and too many more to list. I decided on something in the family category and much to my surprise they had one that included dogs as family---naturally that's they one I picked.
(my husbands name IS on their-I used covered it for the photo)
Here are a couple more cute ones:
Personalized Birthstone $12.95
Teacher Wreath $11.95
Coffee Lovers Dream $11.95
I received the above mentioned item so that I could offer my honest opinion. No monetary compensation was received. All opinions are my honest opinion and those of other consumers may differ.
Here I go again, rockin the blog boat by linkin up with Boobies, Babies and A Blog and My Mad Mind. Some folk use the icon, some don't, some leave a list of things that have cheesed them off during the week. I used to do the list, but to I have a tendency to forget shit. So the last week or so I have been using Fawk You Friday to put up a post about one issue that irritates the crap out of me. This week will probably get me thrown out of the blog writers guild, but I've got a big mouth and sometimes it just doesn't know when to close.
Loss of Identity.
Before I go spouting off (and I will spout off) I should probably add a disclaimer. My very best friends are moms, bloggers, stay at home moms and dare I say some of them are even Mommy Bloggers. Which may or may not be odd since I am a childless (not by choice), 60 hour a week working woman.
I love discovering new blogs and making new friends, you really don't know who is out there and how you will connect until you start cruising the blogosphere. Except there seem to be a whole slew of a certain type of "mommy blogs" out there that have no identity or substance beyond the stories and pictures of their children.
There is nothing on the blog that would give you an insight as to what the person writing it is like. It's as if when the writer gave birth, they completely lost their own identity. Every single post is about little Johnny or Susie. Nearly every picture is of little Johnny or Susie. Every Meme or Wordless Wednesday is a post of those kids. What happened to the person that gave birth to those children? Just because you gave birth to little miracles* did you stop existing? Did you stop having an opinion on everything except your little miracles? Post something, ANYTHING to tell me who you are, because honestly I will never be back** if I can't find an adult personality behind the pictures and stories of your kids accomplishments. I get it, they're the cutest, bestest, most awesomest kids in the whole wide world--until I click the next link on the Meme and see more pics.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE seeing pics of the kidlets. I can't wait to here what The Boss has done this time. Can't wait to read what L'il Duck will say next. He Gucci offered to kill spiders on a phone convo the other night and I adore when Mel's little guy says "hi carrie" in his sweet little voice. Hell, Teenie Queenie has my cell and texts me on a fairly regular basis. The difference (in my mind) is that these woman talk about their children and share things about them, but are not solely defined by only their children. I have met the mom and the woman behind the mom and they know who they are. They have not suffered a Loss of Identity, merely added a layer.
*no that is not sarcasm, I truly believe every child is a miracle
** some of you might be saying "good, I don't want you back" and I'm fine with that, it's your prerogative. Just like this post is my right to my opinion.
P.S. If I am ever lucky enough to have a child and suddenly develop this problem I pray one of you slaps the shit out of me until I regain my senses.
